Head to the Garrick Theatre from 17th March to 28th April 2024 to experience something extraordinary. Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon is adapted from the acclaimed book of the same name by Rosie Day. It’s in the West End after a sold-out season at the Old Red Lion Theatre and Southwark Playhouse, a ‘fierce and funny’ guide to conquering the stress, self-doubt and hormonal chaos that go hand in hand with teen-hood. Playing for a strictly limited run in the West End, this is a richly funny, tragic, and seriously dramatic production.
After her sister’s horrible death by Yorkshire Pudding, Eileen is grief-stricken. So are her parents, and they’re too busy grieving to be any help. Without their guidance and going through hell without a sympathetic ear, the troubled teen rebels by joining the scouts. While it doesn’t exactly seem rebellious, the scouts help her escape reality and stay under her parents’ radar. When Eileen makes a new friend and starts a journey into the adult world, a few rocky decisions force her to finally face the realities of an unsympathetic world. You’ll love this, and so will your younger self.
